Many of you have asked me how you can purchase a Light Pong. Light Pong is going be launching on Kickstarter. When I tell people this, the next question I’m asked is “What’s Kickstarter?”.
What is Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is an online fundraising platform. Creators like us post our projects, showing you the finished product, laying out potential risks, and providing progress updates. Then, people (like you) can pledge money towards the project, earning a reward (a Light Pong if you pledge the right amount!) if the project meets its fundraising goal by the deadline.
Kickstarter has received more than $4.6 billion in pledges from 17.2 million backers to fund 445,000 projects, such as films, music, stage shows, comics, journalism, video games, technology, publishing, and food-related projects.
Why am I telling you this?
Our data indicates that only 9% of people on our this mailing list have a Kickstarter account. Light Pong is launching on Kickstarter exclusively, and we want to make sure you’re familiar and comfortable with the platform so you can be one of the first to play.
Did you know: Kickstarter’s algorithm tracks momentum very closely. Your support on launch day is what will lead Kickstarter to feature Light Pong on the coveted front page.
If there’s ONE thing you do after reading this: go check out Kickstarter.com and more importantly, CREATE AN ACCOUNT! The best way to understand how Kickstarter works is to back a Kickstarter project. You can back projects for as little as $1. I highly recommend it!
