Insider Update — September 1st, 2021
Hello Light Pong-ers,
I have lots of updates for you…so I’m going to dive straight into it!
Controllers
Product Development is coming along beautifully! We’ve updated the controllers, and we’re adding more buttons. We’ll still have a single, big button as the primary, and are adding two smaller buttons, to do things like on/off, enter development mode, and even for special moves! What do you think about them!?
Light Pong Website
The Light Pong website is up. Go check it out at playlightpong.com. I’m pretty happy with the way that it turned out. If you have any suggestions or feedback (especially around messaging, I’m all ears!).
Shark Tank
My buddy, Spencer, recently put me in touch with a casting director for a Shark Tank competitor. I’m currently still auditioning/interviewing, but I do want to say that if any of you can help me get on to ABC Shark Tank, I’d love to do that too!
Investor On Board
We have an amazing new investor on board! Andrew Parkinson is the co-founder of PeaPod.com, the first online grocery store that still has delivery trucks all over. At some point, he even took the company public! He’s gone on to start and sell many companies since then. He’s a very connected and respected individual, and I’m super happy to have him on board!
We’re hiring!

I’m working hard to create a diverse workplace. As you can see, the one place of diversity we haven’t achieved yet is in gender! Maybe you or someone you know would be an awesome person to work with us!?
Social Media
Have you checked in on our Instagram or TikTok lately? Matt (our community manager) is KILLING IT! On TikTok, we now have more than 74 thousand followers, and more than 1.4 million likes. Our TikToks have been watched more than 11 million times over the last 60 days. On Instagram, our follower count is low (around 5000 people only, give us a follow!) but our Reels have reached more than 4.9 million people!
VIP Updates (Kickstarter & Discord!)
There are some updates about the Kickstarter campaign, and early access to our Discord server so you guys can communicate with me and my team more directly, but I’m going to send that information to the VIP reservation holders first. Reserve a Light Pong and become a VIP!
